Operations & Maintenance Engineer, San Francisco, California, USA

My Client is one of the largest vertically integrated energy companies world wide, working in over 160 countries with some of the most impressive project lists in the industry. They have one of the largest and most experienced project groups working throughout North  America and Europe, with unmatched expertise in design, manufacturing and installation. They are searching for an experienced Asset Management Engineer to take on the operations and maintenance of projects delivered throughout North America .

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Regional Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of projects delivered in North America along with managing service contractors. You will also on occasion be required to work with residential customers and contractors, closing warranty complaints by providing technical solutions and assistance.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         O&M (Operations and Maintenance) of North American Projects, consisting of scheduling and managing preventative maintenance, system monitoring, module washing and unscheduled repairs.
• ·         Invoicing customers for REC (Renewable Energy Credit) and energy services
• ·         On-site system verifications and visits
• ·         Draft and coordinate RFP (Request for Proposals) submissions along with contract negotiations and final contracts with SPs (Service Providers)
• ·         Strengthen the network of SPs in North America by evaluating current SP performance along with vetting potential SPs for future contracts.
• ·         Utilize ERP system (Oracle) and data reporting tool (Discoverer) to input, manage and extract data regarding expenses, revenues and accruals
• ·         Work with the regional Warranty and Operations & Maintenance (WO&M) leader and the Regional Asset manager to deliver bids and support the sales team
• ·         Contribute to the development and implementation of the Operations & Maintenance offered to customers
• ·         Provide HSSE training to Service Providers
• ·         Resolve warranty claims within the Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

Education:-

• ·         Must have a degree in engineering or a related field of study

Core Requirements:-

• ·         Knowledge of the design, operations & maintenance, reliability and performance of solar PV systems
• ·         Practical experience in safety
• ·         Experience managing contractors in the field
• ·         Practical experience with solar components and systems
• ·         Experience with monitoring and communication systems
