Onshore Wind Project Manager

My client is a large energy company, dealing with large projects (conventional and renewable) onshore and offshore across Europe and North America. They are looking for a commercially focused PM (Project Manager) for onshore wind projects in Northern Europe based out of Denmark.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Dealing with medium and large onshore wind projects, usually dealing with one project at a time
• Taking complete responsibility for commercial project management of the whole project
• Overseeing all contract agreements and negotiations
• Successfully negotiating cost effective and competitive terms and conditions
• Working to strict deadlines
• Overseeing all budget and reporting issues
• Defining and managing whole project execution

Skills and qualifications required:

• Experience managing large scale renewable energy or conventional power projects. This is an onshore wind role but if you have performed the same role in oil, gas etc then your application will be considered providing you fit the rest of the criteria well.
• Fluency in Danish would be an advantage
• Very strong financial knowledge and skills in relation to large scale energy projects in Northern Europe
• Educated to MSC or MBA level in a related discipline
• Significant experience in this type of project management
• Highly developed communication and people management skills; great collaboration skills
• Purchasing and project execution experience
• Open to frequent travel
