My client is a leading producer of Wind farms in the UK. They have become a market leader and set the standards for Wind farm production in this area. They have a large number of pipelines going into 2011 and are looking for leaders to build teams and take the company growth to the next level.
Core criteria: My client is looking for project managers with a strong technical background to lead there teams on new wind farm developments.
Responsibilities:
- · You will utilise you expertise to lead a team of engineers in technical matters relating to the wind farm, lending your knowledge and skill to those in your team.
- · You will be acknowledged as a leader and manage teams on Wind farm developments with opportunities wto work with international clients and counterparts
- · Liaising with senior program managers and developing strong working relationships within the company gaining recognition within your industry
- · Working to the highest standard to promote the company and ensure market recognition and future opportunities within the renewable energy field
- · Taking on a more senior role in motivating and mentoring those working on the renewable energy project.
- · Making market contacts with a range of manufacturers and working with these contacts to develop the renewable energy project
Education:
You will have a relevant degree in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering
Core Requirements:
- · A strong background working on onshore wind energy projects
- · Experience working with and liaising with a variety of clients and investors involved in the projects
- · Excellent skills working in a senior management position preferably within renewable energy sector
- · Strong level of ambition in a desire to progress within the role
- · A strong technical background working on wind energy projects
General requirements
- · Will have 3-5 years experience in the offshore energy market
- · Excellent management skills
- · A technical background working on wind farm projects
- · Excellent communication, written and presentation skills
- · Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- · The ability to travel within the UK and with time across Europe
- · A keen interest in the onshore wind market and a desire to see it progress and be part of its development in the UK
