Offshore Wind Turbine Service Engineer, Glasgow, Scotland

My client is a global leader within the wind manufacturing sector, delivering services world wide for market leading developers, manufacturers, consultants and operators. Focusing on wind turbine erection and maintenance, they are looking for a wind turbine engineer to join and expand their current operations and projects.

Position Overview:

As a highly skilled engineer with at least 3 years experience working with wind turbines, you will be tasked with the erection and maintenance of wind turbines throughout my clients projects.  

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Providing technical support on the operation of wind turbines
• ·         Providing wind turbine maintenance to clients
• ·         Installing and erecting turbines throughout offshore and onshore projects
• ·         Be involved in the due-diligence process
• ·         Working with the company’s clients and technicians whilst passing on your extensive knowledge and understanding of the wind sector
• ·         Help coordinate construction monitoring activity and construction progress

Education:-

• ·         Must have a strong academic background with a degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, civil) or a related discipline.

Core Requirements:-

• ·         At least 3 years experience working with wind turbines
• ·         An exceptional understanding of the wind sector
• ·         An exceptional understanding of various different types of wind turbines
• ·         Experience working with both large global clients and smaller businesses
• ·         A strong technical background in offshore wind
• ·         Career driven
• ·         Ability to work with clients of varying degrees of knowledge and experience with wind turbine

General Requirements:-

• ·         Ability to travel
• ·         Ability to work alone as well as part of a team
