My client is one of the top 5 wind project developers globally. They have extensive experience in the development of wind projects globally with a dedicated offshore turbine engineering team on hand to assist with projects during the selection and commissioning of wind turbines in offshore projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a globally established organisation performing a key function.

Position Overview:

My client is currently searching for an experienced wind turbine engineer to join their offshore team in the UK. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced individual to join a global leader in the field and to add valuable experience to their project portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with manufacturers to ensure that the turbines are to the standards set by my client and also to provide assistance to the project development team during the design and construction phases.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Manage manufacturer proposals and ensure their competence in providing reliable technical compliance
• ·         Liaise with manufacturers to gather information required by certification bodies, designers etc
• ·         Assist the development teams in turbine selection
• ·         Coordinate the efforts of external consultants
• ·         Will visit manufacturing facilities to ensure quality of turbines
• ·         Perform site visits to test quality and reliability of turbines
• ·         Perform analysis of the turbine operation data production statistics and fault codes to provide support to the operation and maintenance teams

Education:

• ·         Will be educated to BSc level in mechanical, civil, electrical engineering or equivalent field of study.

Core Requirements:

• ·         Must have 2-4years experience with wind turbine technology
• ·         Must be able to work autonomously and manage your own workload
• ·         Will need to have contacts within the UK and European wind manufacturing industry
• ·         Must be competent in technical designs/specifications
• ·         Will be versed in interfaces such as SCADA

General Requirements:

• ·         Must be willing to travel both nationally and across Europe
• ·         Must be able to liaise with team members effectively
• ·         Proficient in Microsoft Office
• ·         Excellent presentation skills
