My client is a global consultancy firm in the environmental and renewable energy sectors. They are currently searching for an experienced and competent business development manager to work in their offshore wind services team.

Position Overview:

My client is searching for an experienced business development manager to raise the profile of their offshore wind services team to that of the global brand. This candidate will be responsible for generating new avenues of revenue for the company by maintaining and developing the existing client portfolio. In addition to this, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of the consultants in the team to ensure that the service is provided to the highest standard possible.

Responsibilities:

  • ·         Identify new business opportunities in Germany
  • ·         Maintain a good knowledge of the German wind market
  • ·         Proactively approach new clients and generate new streams of revenue
  • ·         Create strong relationships with wind developers in the market
  • ·         Coordinate the efforts of the offshore consultants
  • ·         Develop strategies and execute to generate revenue growth.
  • ·         Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations.
  • ·         Report directly to the managing director of Germany

Education:

  • ·         University Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related disciplines plus

Core Requirements:

  • ·         Will have 5-8 years experience in the wind industry
  • ·         Extensive experience in the development and execution of business/market strategies
  • ·         Proven ability to negotiate, acquire and manage high value customer accounts.
  • ·         Ability to sell "at the highest level" with a compelling value-add strategy approach.
  • ·         Assist the team to intensify marketing effort and develop sales
  • ·         Must be eligible to work in Germany without restriction currently
  • ·         Able to work and communicate with high profile clients in the business and financial sectors
  • ·         Be able to work autonomously and efficiently
