Offshore Wind Advisor, Netherlands

My client is a specialist advisory company in the renewable energy sector for the financing of off-shore wind with offices across Western Europe, with finance, legal & tax and M&A expertise. They have clients throughout the UK, Scandinavia, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands and are looking to hire an outstanding individual as an Advisor with experience in renewable execution with an opportunity to become a company partner as a result of company growth.

CORE CRITERIA:

My client needs a candidate who has experience in renewable execution and the ability to advise on project management practices. You will need to be able to prove you have the ability to negotiate power purchase agreements as well as the ability to manage a small expanding team of junior advisors. The role could be based in the Netherlands, France, the UK or Scandinavia, as there is a lot of travelling involved.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Negotiate power purchase agreements (PPAs)
• ·         Give advice on project management
• ·         Develop and maintain relationships with financing entities and equity providers
• ·         Oversee and manage small teams with plans to expand
• ·         Conduct project finance due diligence, including liaising with various engineers to provide the necessary technical information to give to potential investors

Skills and qualifications needed:

• ·         Director level with 7 years experience
• ·         Good understanding of structured finance, legal & tax and M&A in relation to European renewable energy projects
• ·         Proven ability to negotiate power purchase agreements
• ·         Fluency in Dutch desirable
• ·         Solid understanding of tax issues in different European countries (especially Germany, Scandinavia, Netherlands, Belgium and the UK) and the different deal structures that can be applied
