Description

My client is one of the largest global developers with an outstanding reputation for excellence. They develop, construct and operate large scale offshore wind farms.

 

Position Overview:

Working alongside manufacturers to ensure that production, transportation, installation and commissioning of wind turbines are in accordance with all the technical contractual obligations. The candidate will be reporting directly to the offshore turbine engineer manager.

 

Responsibilities:

  • ·         Wind Turbine selection and assesing manufactures proposals
  • ·         Preparing contract technical specifications and ITTs
  • ·         Liase with manufactures to aquire knowledge for internal and external designers
  • ·         Inspection of manufacturing and construction sites
  • ·         Coordination of health and saftey through the manufacturing stage
  • ·         Retification of defects during  the commisioning stage
  • ·         Analysis of turbine opertaion data to support the operation and maintance team

 

Education:

Strong degree or equivalent qualification in technical/ electrical/mechanical engineering.

 

Core Requirements:-

  • ·         Previous technical experience within the wind industry (preferably offshore).
  • ·         Ability to construct and present high quality reports
  • ·         Working towards strict deadlines and mange own workload effectively
  • ·         Travel within the UK and  across Europe
  • ·         Travel to and work on offshore sites (may require working at height)
  • ·         Working as part of a team to overcome challenges faced during construction phase

 

General Requirements:-

  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • Proficient user of Microsoft applications
