Description

My client is a market leader in the renewable market and has a major focus in the onshore wind industry. They have developed new technology and are expanding their onshore and offshore market accordingly. My client has a strong market reputation and has cemented themselves as a top ten manufacturer in the sector. 

Position Overview:

My client is looking to recruit a offshore key account manager in order to develop strong relationships with key clients in the offshore market. They require an experiences offshore expert with a proven track record of achieving results and maintaining relationships in the offshore market. This position will report to the head of offshore and senior executives in the company

Responsibilities:-

  •          You will maintain and develop strong relationships with the key players in the offshore wind industry
  •          Key contact of the company in order to develop strong relationships with new and existing contacts in the offshore wind market
  •          You will travel extensively internationally representing my client in the offshore market
  •          Demonstrate ability to negotiate large scale offshore contracts with a team of bid managers, sales managers and support staff.
  •          You will manage the long term relationships with developers, operators, manufacturers and investors of offshore wind projects in order to achieve the end result of project development in the offshore wind market across Europe
  •          Manage the support team in ensuring that your relationships with your customer in stable and maintained
  •          Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the wind energy company and that your team is performing within the framework of the company
  •          Design strategic plans for global and strategic accounts in the offshore market

Education:-

PHD or MSc in Science or Engineering discipline or equivalent

Core Requirements:-

  •          You must have 3-6 years KAM (Key Accounts Management), business development or sales experience in the wind market
  •          You must have 8+ years experience in the wind industry
  •          You will have 2-3 years working in the offshore wind industry
  •          Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization and work closely with VP level managers in a large international company
  •          Ability to manage multiple large scale projects

General Requirement

  •          Ability to travel internationally
  •          Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  •          Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies
  •          Excellent ability to communicate and work in English is a must with the ability to communicate in other European languages

Key Skills:-

Energy, renewable energy, construction, Key Accounts Manager, offshore, negotiations experience, business development, sales of wind turbines/generators or large wind projects, exceptional team leadership skills, project managers, experience with complex contact negotiations and complex stakeholder and customer management experience
