Offshore Construction Manager, Hamburg, Germany

As one of Europe’s leading power providers, my client is now rapidly expanding their portfolio within offshore wind and are looking for an experienced Offshore Construction Manager to oversee their latest projects. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a leading international company with rapid expansion plans and a huge pipeline of projects.

Position Overview:
My client is looking to recruit an Offshore Construction Manager who will be responsible for the planning, installation and implementation of their multiple offshore projects throughout Europe. You will report to the Managing Director of Offshore and will work closely with other senior management throughout the company.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Responsibility for the planning, installation and execution of site infrastructure
• ·         Responsibility of site management until handover to the service department
• ·         Contract management and coordination with suppliers during project execution
• ·         Responsibility for the coordination of Marine Warranty Surveyors (MSW) including insurance claims
• ·         Invoice validation in cooperation with project controlling
• ·         Overall responsibility for HSE on site
• ·         Effective supplier and customer management

Education:-

Must have a good educational background in either civil, mechanical or electrical engineering

Core Requirements:-

• 4+ years of offshore construction experience within the wind industry

• ·         Fluency in German
• ·         An excellent understanding of regulatory requirements in the wind industry throughout Europe
• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
• ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization and work closely with Director level managers in a large international company

General Requirements:-

• Ability to travel

• ·         Proficient with making impactful presentations and managing a team of high level employees

Key Skills:-

Offshore wind, construction management, project management, fluency in German, electrical or civil or mechanical engineering, exceptional team leadership skills
