Offshore Cabling Engineer. Kings Langley

My client is one of the leading global developers of wind farms with an outstanding reputation for excellence. They are currently leading the way in the development of offshore wind turbines and are dedicated to the development, construction and operation of large scale offshore wind farms.

Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the project manager and assisting in the management of all teams involved in the construction and development stages of projects, the successful candidate will be responsible for  compiling all of the necessary documents and procedures for offshore and land based cables to ensure that all cable systems meet the technical and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Liase with componet suppliers  to gain the required information for internal and external designers
• ·         Assiting with the development team in site identification
• ·         Assisitng with the technical design requirments
• ·         Providing assistance to the technical, development  and operations and maintenance teams.
• ·         Co ordination of external consulatants
• ·         Traveling to construction and manufacturing  sites for inspection

Education:

Must be educated to degree level in electrical engineering

Core Requirements:-

• ·         2 years experience in offshore cabling or a similar role
• ·         Accuracy in the delivery of documentation and works
• ·         Ability to construct of high quality concise reports
• ·         Understanding on lines of responsibility
• ·         Good technical skills
• ·         Ability to travel and work at other wind farm sites within the UK and Europe

• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
• ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
• ·         Work well as part of a team
• ·         Willingness to work for periods of time offshore
