My client is a rapidly growing wind company who has a made a large impact in the Asian wind market over the last few years. They are currently in the process of expansion across North America and Europe and require experienced and connected wind market leaders to join there team. They are currently a start up in the Danish wind market but be rapidly developing their team across Europe over the next year.

Position Overview:

My client requires a leading business development expert to the lead growth of the wind OEM in the European wind market. This is a senior management position involving continued team development and company expansion through market connections and sales techniques. You will repost directly to the Head of Europe in one of the fastest growing wind companies in the world.

 

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         You will have the technical knowledge and leadership skills to work across multiple roles and develop your position as is required by the rapid growth of the company
  •          You will work closely with the development, projects, manufacturing and operations team in order to gain complete understanding of the company plans and developments in order to achieve strong growth figures
  •          You will have exceptional contacts in the market having worked for some of the major players in the wind industry enabeling you to utilise these contacts and encourage business opportunities for the company
  •          Ensure that my client is in the bid process for large scale offshore wind farm developments
  •          You will travel extensively across Europe developing and maintaining key relationships in the offshore wind market
  •          Demonstrate ability to negotiate large scale contracts with a team of bid managers, sales managers and support staff
  •          Design strategic plans for global and strategic accounts in the offshore wind market
  •          Team coordination at a national and international level

Education:-

Science or Engineering discipline degree minimum, with PHD or MSc preferable

 

Core Requirements:-

  •          Must have 2-4 years business development or sales experience in the wind market
  •          You must have 7-12 years experience in the wind industry
  •          Strong experience managing a team of wind professionals
  •          Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization and work closely with VP level managers in a large international company
  •          Ability to manage multiple large scale projects

General Requirement

  •          Ability to travel internationally
  •          Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  •          Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies
  •          Excellent ability to communicate and work in English with the ability to communicate in other European languages a bonus

Key Skills:-

Energy, renewable energy, construction, onshore, offshore, negotiations experience, business development, sales of wind turbines/generators or large wind projects, exceptional team leadership skills, project managers, experience with complex contact negotiations and complex stakeholder and customer management experience
