Job Title: Senior Associate, Outback to Oceans Australia – Office and Program Support (Temporary Contractor/Limited Engagement) Location: Onsite with The Pew Charitable Trusts in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Application Deadline: 7 August 2020
Position Overview:
Duration: Up to nine months to cover a parental leave absence. Start date targeted to be early to mid-September 2020.
Payroll: Will work onsite at The Pew Charitable Trusts office in Brisbane, but the selected candidate will be pay rolled through a third-party staffing agency.
Requirements: An Operations and administration professional with a minimum of four years of experience is sought to provide temporary support to the Outback to Oceans Project with Pew Charitable Trusts. This exciting and successful project works to support and protect people and country in remote Australia and adjacent seas.
We are seeking applicants with successful experience in managing office operations to include contracts administration, expenses and budgeting. We are also seeking experience with coordinating and organising public events and meetings.
Previous experience in working for a not-for profit organisation is desirable. Knowledge of or a strong personal interest in conservation issues would be highly advantageous.
Our approach is to obtain improved, science-based protection and management of land and seascapes in the Australian Outback and adjacent seas. Fundamental to our work is obtaining durable conservation outcomes that imbed long term and positive land and sea management by local people.
