The Climate Group is seeking a motivated Office Administrator to support a growing team with the day-to-day running of its head office.  Reporting to the Office Manager, the role presents an opportunity for a dynamic individual to join leading international climate NGO.

About You

Team-oriented and personable, comfortable working with the whole team, you are highly motivated, a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision. You can plan and prioritise your own workload and have an eye for detail. You will be proactive in all you do and keen to take on a variety of related tasks to support the Office Manager.

Main Accountabilities

The Office Administrator will report to the Office Manager and main responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following tasks:

  • Meeting and greeting of visitors and guests, including assisting with the making of teas and coffees and any catering required (e.g. for meetings; replenishing stock of milk in the office);
  • General office administration incorporating filing, ordering of stationery, dealing with post, couriers and deliveries, answering the phones and liaising with the team
  • Assisting the Office Manager with the management of office facilities, travel and VISA arrangements for the team, including any ad hoc events as well as providing support in variety of office projects (e.g. carbon footprint data collection)
  • Providing support to operations team (HR, IT and Finance)
  • Providing cover for Office Manager in their absence
  • Providing support with video/voice conference facilities when necessary
  • Managing the organisation’s info Inbox 
  • Preparing office recycling for collection 
  • Arranging for birthday and leaving cards, flowers and gifts for special anniversaries 
  • Other ad hoc work as required 

 

Location

You will be based in our London head office, in County Hall, which is a five-minute walk from Waterloo station. 

 

Terms and conditions

This is full-time fixed term position for 12 months with potential to extend or become permanent. We will consider part time applicants who are available Monday-Friday on reduced hours. We offer a salary of £20,000-£23,000 per annum based on experience, plus the following benefits:
