The British Antarctic Survey (BAS) are looking for an Oceanographer to join our Polar Oceans team. The role will involve data collection and handling in support of the Southern Ocean Field Programmes and analysis of new and existing oceanographic data. We are looking for someone with practical and fieldwork skills and experience in preparing datasets for publication. The role will require someone with strong analytical skills, with the ability to manage their own time and resources to meet strict deadlines. The post-holder will be working in small teams so we are looking for someone with great communication skills and a flexible approach to their work. PurposeContribute to data collection and data handling in support of southern ocean field programmes. Undertake analysis of existing and new oceanographic data contributing to publications and dissemination of results. QualificationDegree in oceanography/physical science, or engineering. Duties- Assist in the preparation of moorings hardware and instrumentation.
