The National Communications Intern will assist the communications department of the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) with a number of tasks, ranging from researching and writing stories digital and print publications aimed at NCC donors and supporters across the country, along with photo research and archiving, media tracking, and other communications-related activities. Working independently and with NCC staff, the National Communications Intern will assist with planning, research, writing and editing of digital and print publications, including articles for NCC’s e-newsletter, website and print publication (The Ark), as well as other duties as required.
This position is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to apply classroom theories and skills to practical and hands-on work. Tasks such as sourcing photos, primary research, writing, editing and proofreading will allow the intern to apply and develop skills that are highly valued in the publishing and communications sectors of the workforce.
