ERM are currently seeking a National Climate Change Practice Leader to manage and develop ERM’s expanding greenhouse gas and energy management services for Australia, New Zealand, Asia Pacific and beyond. This exciting position provides an opportunity for a highly professional candidate to develop and lead a team in this challenging and rapidly emerging area. You will be responsible for liaising with internal and external clients as well as identifying new business opportunities and be responsible for leading and delivering a variety of projects involving various environmental issues impacting business risk. The successful candidate will enjoy extensive support and commitment from the business locally and globally.  There is flexibility in terms of where this role would be based.
As well as having a minimum of a Bachelors qualification in a Science Degree or similar discipline, the ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in the following areas:
  • Minimum of 6 years experience within the field of Climate Change
  • Proven ability to undertake complex and interdisciplinary technical work
  • Have the ability to influence, develop and mentor a team
  • Proven project management skills and strong commercial skills
  • Greenhouse gas emission knowledge particularly from an Audit context or in an advisory capacity from government or industry
  • You will have relevant Government, Industry or Facility experience in either regulatory or emissions trading or you may have previous experience as a carbon advisor/strategist.
  • Experience in Climate Change impact and adaptation
  • Demonstrable team player, comfortable working within multi-offices teams
  • Strong aptitude for and experience in business development activities
  • Superior written and spoken communication skills including report writing and client service;
  • Commitment to relationship building both with client and internally through internal networks (both cross discipline and within the ERM global network)
Occasional travel within Australia and Asia Pacific may be required.
