Location: Belfast

The RSPB are looking for a motivated individual to monitor the reintroduced population of red kites in Northern Ireland, whilst liaising with farmers and landowners to increase awareness. Engage with school and community groups to generate interest and support for the project and developing red kite events. Manage a team of volunteers to assist with duties. Postholder should have previous experience of surveying raptors, excellent communication skills and be able to work individually or a part of a team, frequently in rural locations. A minimum of GCSE Maths, English and Sciences or equivalent is required and an environmental degree or similar qualification would be advantageous.
