Mechanical Design Engineer, Aberdeen, £35-45k

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading design consultancy based in Aberdeen.  Due to another record year and significant growth within the team they now need a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team.  Although the majority of their product is supplied into the Oil & Gas sector they are happy to consider candidates from other sectors within manufacturing.  This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer who wants to add more variety to their port folio, you will deal with a range of clients and products meaning that projects are rarely the same

Position Overview:
You will be responsible for meeting with customers and internal teams to speak about their design requirements  and then set about the design process in order to achieve their goal.  You should have a strong technical appreciatation especially from a mechanical engineering perspective. 

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Meet with teams and provide input into technical requirements
• ·         Design products to customer specification
• ·         Provide support on any technical issues that may arise
• ·         Provide detailed instructions to the design team

Education:-

• ·         Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an engineering subject or equivalent experience

Core Requirements:-

• At least 5 years relevant work experience
• A strong track record in mechanical design

• ·         A strong understanding of mechanical products

General Requirements:-

• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organisation
• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
• ·         Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
