Owing to continued growth and high demand for its services, the company is now seeking to recruit a Measurement Engineer to join our expanding Measurement Team.

Job description

The principal responsibilities of this post include:

  • Wind monitoring mast, data logger and instrumentation installation, commissioning and maintenance  
  • Remote sensing deployment and maintenance
  • Data recovery, screening and appending
  • Site visits
  • Power performance testing, equipment installation and commissioning
  • General equipment maintenance
  • Proposal and report writing

Essential criteria

  • HND or above in an engineering, based subject. Preferably mechanical or electrical.
  • Technically competent
  • Comfortable working in remote outdoor areas
  • “Hands on” approach and experience
  • Competent user of main Microsoft packages
  • Competence in reading and understanding standards and specifications.
  • Reliability and good organisational skills are paramount.
  • You should have excellent communication skills, coupled with a flexible and proactive approach to work to thrive in this busy team.
  • Valid Driving Licence for use with in UK

The successful candidate will have a reasonable working knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems which can be built upon.   An interest in the outdoors and renewable energy and/or sustainability is desirable.  The company is growing rapidly and offers excellent long-term career prospects.

Hours: 37 hours per week. Occasional evenings to attend meetings
Holidays: 23 days and 9 public holidays
Contract: Permanent after 3 month probationary period
Training: Active encouragement of personal and professional development

Location: Glasgow but travel as required.
