Position Summary:
This individual will perform a range of tasks related to delivering marketing projects and elevating Summit's industry profile to support sales and marketing efforts. This person will be a resource for the entire organization as we strive to consistently deliver world class messaging and elevate Summits public profile.

Position responsibilities:
- Play both lead and supporting role crafting various forms of compelling, field-ready marketing content
- Take lead role in creating sales/lead generation campaigns
- Drive the process of ensuring Summit is appropriately represented in key industry reports and forums
- Connect with relevant internal and external stakeholders to elevate Summits external profile
- Manage projects delivering key business development tools (i.e. brochures, whitepapers, case studies)
- Interview internal/external stakeholders to secure key information
- Build key, strategic relationships to leverage internal (Schneider Electric) and external (vendors, industry executives) resources
- Play lead role coordinating appearances at key industry events/trade shows tasks will include reviewing possible shows, tracking event success, negotiating favorable sponsorship fees and overseeing the logistical movement of materials, booth graphics and other resources supporting these events
- Prepare reports tracking various progress indicators (i.e., media mentions, web analytics)
- Assist executives in preparing external/internal speaking assets (outlines, PowerPoint slides, etc.)
- Assist with managing of external vendors (i.e., graphic designers, copywriters, web developers) to achieve project goals
- Interface with client contacts for myriad reasons (e.g., securing their participation in testimonials, case studies, media articles)
- Publish on Summits behalf within key industry blogs and forums
- Lead & support the process of deploying content through relevant outlets

Essential skills and qualifications:
- Relationship development successful candidate will have high degree of personal savvy and ability to influence peers, superiors and other key internal and external stakeholders
- Communication skills strong skill with written, oral and interpersonal communication
- Writing skills high proficiency in creating documents from scratch, editing ones own work and creating compelling business-centric body copy across wide spectrum of deliverables
- Education college degree in communications, advertising, journalism, marketing, media relations or similar program
- Experience 3-5 years in marketing, communications, copywriting or similar role
- Computer skills high proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, other MS Office software; additionally, this person should have high familiarity with web development technologies (database structures, online forms, etc.); and with key social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
- Creativity ability to connect the dots across concepts to create compelling spoken and written content that grabs the attention of readers
- Leadership ability to lead internal teams toward a desired outcome
- Ability to work fluidly with internal team members, balancing flexibility with decisiveness
- Ability to articulately defend a particular course of action while respecting the input and opinions of colleagues and superiors able to balance being confident and deferential
