Marine Mammal Research

This project recruits research assistants between January to April each year for field work, photo-identification and data entry.

The project aims to generate knowledge on cetacean presence, distribution and habitat use patterns. The research assistant will have a unique opportunity to participate in a pioneer research project under full supervision.

Duties include: assisting in boat based surveys, collecting data on cetaceans; photo-identification of whale and dolphin species; updating photo-ID catalogue; and data entry.

The project costs 500 Euros per month which includes accommodation, all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), training and two t-shirts.
