JNCC is an impartial scientific authority on UK and international nature conservation. It is the public body that advises the UK Government and devolved administrations on UK-wide and international nature conservation. JNCC is the forum through which the country nature conservation bodies in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland discharge their statutory responsibilities across the UK, its Overseas Territories, and internationally. For 27 years, working in partnership with business and society, we have provided robust evidence and trusted advice to enable governments in the UK to achieve their policy objectives. The environment in which JNCC is operating is changing rapidly, for example in response to the UK’s exit from the European Union, more diverse policies within the UK, enabled by further devolution, budget pressures within the public sector, and the application of new knowledge and technologies.  JNCC is going through an exciting period of transformation to address these challenges and opportunities and has a number of H grade vacancies available now and planning ahead are anticipating future requirements for increased staff resource over the coming year.
