The Zoological Society of London is seeking two interns to provide support to the UK & Europe Conservation Programme. The internship will have a significant research component (60% of the time) and candidates are expected to spend at least two days a week in the field, throughout their six month contract. Additional responsibilities will include maintaining and updating the marine mammal sightings database; data input and analysis; representing ZSL at meetings and
A successful candidate must have an undergraduate and preferably a masters level degree in Marine Biology or a related subject. They must be self-motivated, have experience carrying out surveys in the field It is essential that candidates have either a full UK manual driving licence, or equivalent, and be confident of driving through London. The internship is for six months, starting on 25 March 2013 and running until the 27 September 2013. The role is part time (4 Please note that this is a voluntary position and there should be no expectation that any paid position will arise out of this internship.
