Managing Director, Malaysia

My client is primarily involved in the reduction of emissions and in the CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) industry. They are responsible for helping project owners realising the CDM projects that would otherwise not be feasible. They are now expanding the business into the biogas space and are looking for a managing director to run the offices in Malaysia.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis of available financing options for biogas plants
• Portfolio management - overseeing the entire project cycle, from the development stage, acquisition of project permits, environmental assessment, negotiations of the terms
• Will be responsible for sourcing new clientele and growing the business.
• Development and management of a team of individuals.

Requirements:

• Must have a proven track record and expertise in business development within South East Asia
• Must have extensive experience in developing and growing a new business/market
• Will have strong knowledge of the local market and speak Malay to a native level
• Will consider candidates with strong backgrounds in renewable energies, wastewater treatment or biomass
• A good candidate will have a strong educational background in business development or related study.
