Join a dynamic and fast-growing nonprofit organization established to build the quality and capacity of people around the world working on climate change and greenhouse gas management.

 

The Greenhouse Gas Management Institute was established in 2007 with the mission to address climate change by training and developing a global community of experts with the highest standards of professional practice in measuring, accounting, auditing, and managing greenhouse gas emissions; meeting the needs of governments, corporations, and organizations large and small.

 

Since inception, the Institute has trained students and professionals from more than 50 countries and attracted over 2,000 members in partnership with leading organizations including ClimateCHECK, the World Resources Institute, the Carbon Disclosure Project, the UNFCCC, the World Bank, the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, Point Carbon, Harvard University Extension School, and more.  The Institute is a U.S. 501(c)(3) registered charitable nonprofit organization.

 

We are actively seeking a Manager, Member Services.

 

Title:              Manager, Member Services

Start Date:     Immediately

Location:       North America preferred, Telecommuting

Type:              Full-Time, Permanent

 

Qualifications:

          Undergraduate degree is required, degree in business is desired.

          At least 5 years of work experience is required, with at least 1 year managing a membership program.

          Excellent English-speaking and writing is required, other languages desired.

          Excellent verbal communication skills including ability to represent organization in public venues.

          Internet marketing experience is required.

          Current with Internet tools and trends, experience managing social networking functions and/or web 2.0 technologies an advantage.

          Willingness to travel.

Duties and Activities:

          Design and deliver an international membership program and support career services program,

          Promote membership to individuals and organizations,

          Work closely with marketing to expand membership base,

          Support membership community,

          Continuously strive to increase member satisfaction.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

          Salary: commensurate with experience and qualifications

          Vacation: 4 weeks per year
