ISEAL is the global membership association for many of the leading sustainability standards and certification schemes worldwide. We are internationally recognized for our role in driving consensus about credible practices for sustainability standards, reflected in our Credibility Principles and Codes of Good Practice. Role summary ISEAL is looking for an experienced project manager, with experience in the social side of sustainability as well as measurement and metrics. The Impacts & Innovations Manager will be responsible for an evolving portfolio of projects, designed to measure and increase impacts of sustainability standards and to support standards in using data from their systems to create new value and services for users. This Manager will also lead collaborative projects on specific sustainability issues, projects which bring together standards and key partners in business, government, and the non-profit sector to find new approaches to addressing critical social and economic sustainability challenges. The portfolio of projects will evolve over time, with some flexibility to build on the specific expertise of the new Impacts & Innovations Manager. Current examples of projects this Manager could lead and deliver include: supporting innovations around use of data to drive continual improvement at the farm and factory level; the development and implementation of shared metrics for the measurement of sustainability outcomes; guide a working group on improving gender impacts; and leading the participation of the standards’ community in an open community of practice on living income (www.livingincome.org). Other Relevant Information: Term: This is intended as a long term position with an initial contract of one year Salary band: £44,000-50,000 p.a., depending on experience Working Hours: Based on a full time equivalent of 37.5 hours per week. The ISEAL Alliance operates a Flexible Working Policy and is happy to consider applications for flexible working after the relevant qualification period has passed. Status: Exceptional candidates from outside the UK/EEA area, who are not in possession of a valid visa, may be able to apply for a work permit through the Home Office’s points based system for this position. ISEAL may be able to provide some support to the preferred candidate once a job offer has been made. Location: This position will be based in ISEAL’s London head office.
