The world's leading provider of Transportation Optimisation solutions based in its UK. head office. This individual will be the central point of quality and internal control. Reporting to the UK Director and US Quality Manager, he/she will have responsibility for measuring and promoting quality achievement and performance improvement across the organisation. This will start with the review of the existing Quality Management System ensuring retention and continual improvement of its ISO certification status. The job holder will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with the policies of the parent company in the US working closely with their control teams in the US and internationally. To be considered for this role, you must have; - a minimum of 3 years experience as a Site Quality Manager ideally in the Transportation Technology sector (Aviation, Marine and Rail). - solid experience of conducting H&S Risk Assessments along with knowledge of current UK employment law and maintenance of ethical values. - corporate Membership of at least one appropriate professional institute i.e Chartered Quality Institute - completed a UKAS Accredited Lead Auditor's Course against ISO 9001:2000 requirements - have a working knowledge of other relevant international Quality Standards such as AS9100. Along with the above experience, the ideal candidate will also have strong leadership/decision making skills, a pro-active approach to work, excellent time management and prioritising skills, enthusiasm, self-confidence, and a willingness to work in a high-pressured environment. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels is considered essential for this role. The business sites are across the UK and as such, regular travel and some overnight stays will be required. Travel to international sites will be required on a less frequent basis, and a full unrestricted driving licence and passport are essential to perform this role. The role comes with a competitive salary dependent on experience along with a car/car allowance. |
