Low Carbon Project Officer

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Low Carbon Project Officer to work for a forward thinking local council in South London.

The aim of this innovative project is to get every business and resident within the Zone involved in carbon reduction. They have secured funding now need to deliver a 20% CO2 reduction by 2012, and set out a strategy for major carbon reduction by 2025.

This a complex multi-agency and multi-sector project working with partners in business, the community and within the Council. It will be an exciting but challenging job, with a key goal to positively engage with residents and business, to drive engagement and behaviour change. You will be the lead for the project and report progress on CO2 reduction, grant take up and project development.

Project management skills and experience of grant and financial management are essential. Ideally they need someone with experience of local government, including procurement experience and managing consultants.
