Role Summary/Purpose: The GE Power & Water Global Logistics team seeks a strong candidate to work with the Wind & Thermal Project Management teams to ensure project equipment delivery schedules are met. Working with global supply chain, manufacturing and the Logistics COE, you will be required to develop and execute a project logistics plan that meets contract and budgetary requirements. This is a fast paced job with many variables in which you will be constantly reviewing and working with the team.
Essential Responsibilities - Primary interface with the business teams for developing and managing logistics plans for various projects in the power and water organization
- Principal lead for managing the hand-off of project logistics plans for global project equipment to the Logistics COE
- Manage existing Inquiry to Order and Order to Remittance logistics processes within the Global Projects Organization, supporting delivery of customer equipment
- Manage cross-functional teams to ensure planning and execution of logistics that supports on-time delivery and lowest optimized cost of equipment to our customers
- Monitor and ensure compliance of transport mode specialists with customer requirements and contract deliverables
- Establish transport mode requirements for Logistics Execution team
- Prepare and review of budgets for specific project logistics
- Oversee expedited shipments from various projects that could include shortage & warranty, performance equipment
- Present to business leadership strategies and execution plans to drive operational goals
Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Power Generation or Logistics Management
- Minimum 2 years of International Trade experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Ocean chartering, planning and operations
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Heavy Haul land transport and over dimensional transport operations

- Green Belt certified (GE Employees only)
