Organisation:

This position will be part of the expansion of the German offshore team and primarily related direct to the 300MW Butendiek Offshore Windpark project which is expected to be online by 2012. The position is part of the Airtricity Graduate Program will be reporting directly to the CEO of Airtricity Germany in Hamburg but work in direct relationship with the Butendiek Project Director.

The successful candidate will be based in Northern Germany in either Husum or Hamburg offices. Initially working on the Butendiek project on logistic concepts, setup of port facilities for operation and maintenance, support vessel layouts and wind turbines supply coordination, the candidate will after successful completion move on to work on the future offshore or onshore projects within the Airtricity pipeline in Germany or Europe.

Tasks:

  • Establish a logistic concept for Operation and Maintenance
  • Identification of suitable port for fast crew transport by boat
  • Establish contacts and identify suitable helicopter operators for regular and emergency operations
  • Identify and establish contacts to shipping companies for time-charter O&M and crew vessels
  • Liaise with Wind Turbine manufacturer to support and establish cooperation on logistics of spare parts and O&M concept

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for O&M and Logistical setups in the project
  • Risk Management according to internal procedures
  • Responsible for meeting project budgets and cash flow targets
  • Driving the identification process from supplier sourcing, bid preparation and analysis, through negotiation to contract award
  • Post contract review and controlling subcontractor project liabilities
  • Interface Management and overlaps to other subcontracts and sub contractors
  • Report project status directly to Project Director

Personnel Specification:

The successful candidate will preferably have:

  • An economics / engineering degree on degree dissertation underway
  • 3-5+ years of experience in logistics, O&M or offshore operations;
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, at negotiating level;
  • Displays a positive attitude, is highly motivated, and results oriented
  • Determination, assertiveness and strong negotiating skills
  • Good organizational & planning skills
  • Team spirit
