Description

My client is one of the  leading renewable energy providers globally. They specialize in the manufacturing of crystalline silicon modules and are also a leading commercial and utility-scale solar PV developer with a strong market presence in Europe, the USA and the Asia-Pacific regions. With expansion of their project development team in Europe they are looking to recruit a project associate to join their team in Milan.  


Position Overview:
The project associate will be responsible for supporting to the Project Manager in the handling of internal legal issues of the project development  department.

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         Provide support to the Project Manager in handling the internal legal issues of the project development  department
  • ·         Responsible for keeping all due diligence files duly indexed and organized as per project development  department's policies, setting data rooms
  • ·         To analyze and/or to support the Project Manager in analyzing the documentation for due diligence purposes
  • ·         To perform due diligence activities under the supervision of the Project Manager
  • ·         To point out major problems, legal issues and any sensitive area which may arise from the analyzed documentation.
  • ·         Provide support to the Project Manager in drafting and amending contract clauses, as well as provide support in the day by day activities, when needed
  • ·         Coordinate all contract review, payment arrangement activities for the project development team
  • ·         Coordination with the project development team and HQ (Finance, treasury, MPS, Legal)
  • ·         Oversee all documentation and customer relation activities for the project development team

Education:-

  • ·         Italian degree in law, preferred graduation thesis in administrative (masters abroad or studied abroad (EU university desirable,  US or overseas program of a US or EU university is also acceptable)

Core Requirements:-

  • ·         2 years experience in first class international or leading Italian law firm or, alternatively, in legal department of leading Italian or international company
  • ·         At least one year experience shall be in renewable energy (PV preferred)
  • ·         Must be able to perform a due diligence of a PV project, strong background in analyzing authorizations and administrative documents, some corporate background is necessary as well
  • ·         Proactive, eager to learn
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills

General Requirements:-

  • ·         Detail oriented, flexible, committed and willing to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ·         Work experience abroad is a plus
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

Key Skills:-

Experience in solar PV, Italian degree in law, preferred graduation thesis in administrative (masters abroad or studied abroad (EU university desirable,  US or overseas program of a US or EU university is also acceptable) and experience project contracts (O&M, subcontractors).
