Legal Counsel, Wind Developer, London

This leading business in the renewable energy sector currently develops and operates large scale wind projects across the UK and Internationally. They create renewable sources of energy to meet the increasing demand for clean electricity and to address the ever increasing challenges of global warming.

Through partnerships with various parties, this business develops projects that are both profitable and sustainable. They are currently pursuing projects in across Europe.

Position Overview:

You will be responsible for providing non-contentious  legal support for projects that are developed in a variety of locations across the world. You will have a broad remit covering construction, commercial development and financing and project work.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Drafting of contracts
• Negotiation and risk assessment covering the full life cycle of projects
• ·         Provide legal support to negotiations and transactions in respect of acquisitions

Education:-

• ·         Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Law

Core Requirements:-

• Minimum 4 years PQE

• Strong understanding of commercial contracts
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills

General Requirements:-

• Ability to travel

• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organisation
• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
• ·         Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
