Permanent - Multiple Brand New Roles – UK Wide Hybrid Working Great Britain's electricity infrastructure is undergoing an ambitious, exciting and vital transformation[MK1] both onshore and offshore. Joining our growing team, you will be at the heart of the energy transition working as a senior staff grade member supporting our Offshore Delivery Team, bringing your terrestrial or marine consenting expertise to help deliver our fast tracked multi billion £ projects, enabling 50GW of reneweable energy to be transmitted across the UK. Reporting into a Consents and Lands Senior Project Manager, you will ensure that project marine or terrestrial consents are delivered economically and efficiently, in accordance with current legislation, regulations, guidance and that National Grid’s reputation continues to be enhanced. Our main HQ is Warwick but we have existing team members all over the UK as we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home. Your core activities will include:
Lead the process of challenging, advising and guiding project teams in relation to the design and development of projects, ensuring the implementation of effective project consents strategies and programmes to ensure that all terrestrial or marine consents related costs and risks are captured and managed and that the reputational impacts of making changes are fully considered.
Your additional activities will be wide and varied, including ensuring quality and accuracy of project documentation, proactive management of external resources and finance, acting as an expert witness at hearings, committees and inquiries and mentoring less experienced team members to enable constant team development. What you’ll get A competitive starting salary between £50,000 - £60,000 – dependent on capability. As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
