Money for Change is a Greenpeace campaign with a mission to disrupt and end perverse financial flows which currently underpin the climate and biodiversity emergency and growing social inequality.

 

We are looking for a Lead Campaigner located in any EU country with a Greenpeace office (ideally in Central and Eastern Europe) to join us on this quest, and to  lead the campaign, developing and delivering campaign strategies, coordinating across Greenpeace national and regional offices , buildng  and managing relationships with relevant NROs and external campaign stakeholders, and representing the campaign publically. 

 

Successful candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of delivering successful international campaigns, ideally with experience in working in EU collaboration

  • Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships, in particular working with cross-cultural and global teams

  • A proven ability to grasp quickly and accurately new and complex concepts and areas of finance/economics and turn them into understandable campaign strategies

  • Commitment to environmental protection and Greenpeace values

  • Basic knowledge of the monetary and financial system, the money creation process, and the functioning of the central banks (an academic background in Economics, Public Finance, Monetary policy, or related topic is an advantage but not a must)

  • Strong verbal communication skills in English (other European languages a plus) and good writing skills in English to communicate with the media

  • Project management (e.g. including planning and budgeting) and the ability to coordinate with external allies/Greenpeace offices/project

  • Research and Investigation skills and the ability to identify and instigate research and investigative initiatives which support campaign project goals

  • Analytical skills, including the ability to prepare external and internal reports, fact sheets, and briefings in support of campaign objectives
