The Water Team of Ecologic Institute is looking forward to receiving applications from young professionals with environmental and water policy expertise to support projects in the field of technical water management, resource conservation and pollution at local and regional level.
Your Tasks:
You support in projects with a focus on technical water management, resource protection and environmental pollution for clients from Germany and the EU
You conduct political and scientific analyses, prepare case studies on the basis of desk research and evaluate environmental measures
You contribute to the development of environmental policy guidance, solutions and recommendations as well as conduct and evaluate interviews
You support in applying for new projects
You are responsible for scientific publications and project reports
You assist in the planning and realization of project-related events
Your Profile:
Completed master's degree in environmental sciences, water resource management or a comparable degree with a focus on environmental policy, if possible with attention to technical environmental protection or water management
Analytical skills and experience in dealing with qualitative and quantitative survey and analysis methods
Solid knowledge of the nitrogen cycle and its influencing factors in agricultural practice
Ideally, good knowledge of microplastic problems from a technical, ecotoxicological and regulatory perspective
Knowledge of the Water Framework Directive, the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive and related policies at EU level as well as the relevant German laws and regulations is desirable
Team orientation, with the ability to work independently and interdisciplinarily
Very good written and spoken German and English skills
Interest in and experience in dealing with new media and their use for science communication would be desirable
