| Description |
The Junior Project Engineer reports to the Head of Asset Implementation, and is in charge of the continuous monitoring and updating of the newest. He/She shall support the Head of Asset Implementation also during the activity of designing and implementation of new projects.
He/She shall support the Head of Asset Implementation for the following activities:
- Preparation of monthly reports related to ‘State of Art’ and evolution of technologies in the field of the renewable energy business (wind, photovoltaic, solar thermodynamic, biomass, mini-hydro)
- Coordination with Business development Unit, during Authorization phase, in order to define the best available technology to be implemented, granting highest performance in terms of production and efficiency during operation phase
- During the procurement phase of new plants, definition of the list of technical documents necessary for the emission of Purchase Requisitions and preparation of the evaluation reports (technical-economical) of the offered received
- Management of interfaces and contractual relationships with suppliers
- Management of all documentation related to the invoicing of the suppliers and interface with the Accounting
- Update of all technical / permitting documents related to the project for new plants, including update of related list
- Creation, update and management of the archive related to the projects for new plants
- During the implementation phase of new plants, preparation of monthly progress reports of the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning activities, together with related economical, patrimonial and financial impacts
- Preparation of monthly progress reports devoted to the analysis of the status and variances, between budget vs. actual, of the projects related to new plants, with specific indication of economical, patrimonial and financial impacts
- Organization of the progress review meetings
Qualifications- Engineering degree
- At least 1-2 years experience in the energy business (producers/operators or engineering firms acting in the sector)
- Specific experience in the designing of renewables plants
- Strong motivation and drive to strengthen technical/designing competences and to improve managerial capacity of team work, contributing to increase starting level of performance
- Flexibility and organizational/co-ordination capabilities
- Highly developed communication & interpersonal skills to establish and nurture cross-functional and cross-cultural working relationships, as well as in leading with people outside the organization and business interfaces in the daily activities
- Excellent self-organization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- English Fluent, written and spoken is essential, other languages are an asset
- Excellent Office (word, excel, power point, etc.), very good AUTOCAD, knowledge of SAP (optional but preferable)
- Availability to travel.
