Internship in International Development
12 months – full-time - job share - Oxford based - £13,500
African development charity SOS Sahel UK and international development recruitment agency Oxford HR are offering a unique internship opportunity within both organisations.
We are seeking a dynamic and committed Intern with strong IT skills and a good attention to detail to join our small teams in our shared office in East Oxford. At SOS Sahel UK (60% time) you will be responsible for helping the UK Representative of the charity to maintain its income from individuals and charitable trusts, as well as handling administrative and front-of house functions and supporting communications and some public events. At Oxford HR (40% time), you will work closely with colleagues to improve a relational database, maintain and update the website and provide administrative support to a team of executive search consultants.
This internship is an opportunity for a capable, creative and motivated graduate to gain hands-on work experience in administration, knowledge management and fundraising with the international development sector, with increasing responsibilities.
The right candidate will be an organised self-starter with relevant work or voluntary experience, excellent IT and written skills, a keen attention to detail and a passion for international development. Previous knowledge of fundraising and/or database management would be an advantage.
This full-time position is being offered at £13,500 for a 12 month contract.
