The Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB) is looking to hire a full-time highly-motivated individual for three months, who is passionate about driving change to join our busy global secretariat to coordinate and support the delivery of our ambitious global strategy and work program.

CDP hosts the CDSB Secretariat, and the role will be based in CDP’s Berlin office. Additional information about CDP can be found at www.cdp.net.

About the role

Working within the global CDSB Secretariat, this brand-new role will work closely with and support the Project Manager (PM) to provide efficient and effective administrative and project support to the CDSB team. You will have the opportunity to make this new role your own, learning the foundational skills needed for an NGO/business environment, as well as exposure to finance/sustainability reporting. You will be highly organised and will be involved in research, social media/external communications, project administration, grant M&E and process improvement.

We are looking for a results-oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and a strong team player. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening the impactful work of CDSB as an organisation that works to build the trust and transparency needed to foster resilient capital markets and contribute to more sustainable economic, social and environmental systems.

The role is full-time and will be based at CDP’s Berlin office, reporting to the CDSB Project Manager. During the current COVID-19 pandemic, CDP has a working from home policy in place

Key responsibilities include:

  • Organising and administering meetings (internal and external) including agendas, minutes, room bookings and relevant logistics;
  • Providing administrative support for the CDSB team;
  • Supporting the preparation of presentations and reports;
  • Assisting the team with event organisation i.e. webinars and roundtables;
  • Attending industry-relevant events;
  • Undertaking general administrative tasks such as implementing and maintaining effective electronic filing and archiving systems;
  • Depending on personal interest, conducting small research projects to explore emerging topics relevant to CDSB’s work; and
  • Performing any other reasonable tasks as are requested by the organisation.

Required experience and skills:

Essential:

  • Enrolled student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at a German university;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Great organisational skills with ability to manage own time and multitask efficiently, with excellent attention to detail;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (esp. Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams;
  • Ability to work independently and precisely under pressure, be proactive and set priorities;
  • Demonstrates a high level of dedication, flexibility and resilience;
  • Highly competent spoken and written English.

Desirable, but not essential:

  • Strong interest in environmental and social issues and our work; and
  • Social media literate.

The position is open only for candidates enrolled at a German University. The successful candidate will work five days per week in our Berlin office (temporarily working from home) and must be able to work legally in Germany. The internship will last for a maximum period of three months and the intern will work with and report to the respective program manager.
