An experienced lobbyist and communicator with sound understanding of trade policies is required by four major international animal welfare organisations. The coordinator will work towards the integration of animal welfare concerns in international trade issues. This high-level negotiator will:
Devise, lead and implement trade advocacy strategy
Monitor multilateral and bilateral trade agreements and ensure that animal welfare effects are considered
Maintain and develop contacts with governments, EU institutions and international trade bodies such as the WTO
Work with key developing countries to promote positive effects of high animal welfare standards
Encourage and advise animal welfare NGOs on trade-related campaigns
Liaise closely with the four funding organisation, but report to an agreed supervisor
Have an excellent command of English (oral and written) and another language is an asset (Spanish, French)
Be highly organised (ability to work independently)
