International Purchasing Manager, Stuttgart, Germany

My client is a leading global development and sales of turnkey production lines for the manufacture of crystalline solar cells development and sales of turnkey production lines for the manufacture of crystalline solar cellsdeveloper of turnkey production lines for the manufacture of crystalline solar cells and producer of production systems for the manufacturing of semiconductor components. They are looking for an experienced purchasing manager to join their team in Germany.

Position Overview:

My client is seeking an experienced individual to join their team in Germany as an international purchasing manager. You will utilise your extensive background within the solar industry to purchase production materials and technical components for my client on a global scale. You will be working on a project-by-project basis, with a large emphasis on maintaining key relations with existing clients whilst proactively sourcing new ones. This will include all aspects of sourcing, from market analysis to the negotiations and closing of contracts. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a leading and ambitious company within the solar space in an exciting and fast paced role.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Work closely with the team leader to advance of the existing supplier network
• ·         Support and monitoring of the procurement process from the inquiry to the supply
• ·         Drive the performance of existing suppliers and qualify new suppliers based on cost, quality, and timely delivery measures
• ·         Qualification of strategic key suppliers on global basis, from market analysis to the conclusion contracts
• ·         Optimize the material and supplier portfolio
• ·         Procurement of processing materials and technical components on a project basis
• ·         Careful consideration of contracts with regards to cost targets
• ·         Both support and initiate projects for cost reduction
• ·         Implement and execute defined cost roadmaps for key suppliers

Education:-

• ·         Engineering or economics background and qualification in procurement

Core Requirements:-

• At least 2 years experience with a proven track record in global sourcing within the Solar Industry
• Experience of negotiating contracts with international companies

• ·         Excellent organisational skills
• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
• ·         Fluency in German
• ·         Strong team communication and analytical skills

General Requirements:-

• Ability to travel

• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results

Key Skills:-

Procurement or sourcing or purchasing, engineering, solar, German, experience with solar modules, mechanical and electrical parts
