Your contribution will be

You will represent FOUR PAWS and our position towards animal welfare and meat reduction at the UN and other intergovernmental fora and cooperate directly with the Farm Animals and Nutrition department, the European Policy office and our other lobby offices.

  • Representing FOUR PAWS and our demands around animal welfare and meat reduction international fora
  • Developing and implementing FOUR PAWS’ advocacy strategy that includes both a convincing vision and smart goals to an ambitious but realistic schedule
  • Cultivating and expanding a relevant network of political decisionmakers within the UN Institutions as well as at other international forums with a focus on the climate crisis and meat reduction
  • Contributing to and promoting FOUR PAWS positions on the climate crisis and farm animals; keeping track of key legislative and international policy developments in this field
  • Organising stakeholder meetings as well as public discussions and events
  • Observing the international political landscape closely and identifying starting points for our demands and developing these alongside campaigns team
  • Collaborating with the Farm Animals and Nutrition department, European Policy office and our other lobby offices and share knowledge

 

Your profile ideally illustrates

  • Relevant professional experience, preferably in the climate movement and/or educational background in climate or similar environmental studies
  • Extensive skills and experience of advocacy in legislative and political processes; Preferably experience in working in or with UN institutions and fora
  • Ability to understand and reliably interpret relevant scientific concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with decision makers at the highest level,
  • Strong project and organisational skills
  • Ability to work with an international team and external partners to achieve the program objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS packages: Word/Powerpoint/Excel
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally when required

  • If employed in Austria, a gross salary of minimum EUR 41.000,- per year negotiable depending on higher than required qualifications, skills and professional experience relevant for the position (40h)
