International Buyer, Trubbach, Switzerland

My client is a leading industrial group with an enviable portfolio within the solar industry. They are looking for an experienced and talented individual to join their team in Trubbach, Switzerland as an international buyer within the solar space on a global scale.

Position Overview:

My client is seeking an experienced individual to join their team in Switzerland as an international buyer. You will utilise your extensive background within the solar industry to help source 3^rd party companies for my client on a global scale. You will be working on a project-by-project basis, with a large emphasis on maintaining key relations with existing clients whilst proactively sourcing new ones. This will include all aspects of sourcing, from market analysis to the negotiations and closing of contracts.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Work closely with the team leader to advance of the existing supplier network
• ·         Support and monitoring of the procurement process from the inquiry to the supply
• ·         Qualification of strategic key suppliers on global basis, from market analysis to the conclusion contracts
• ·         Data management and document administration, predominantly in SAP
• ·         Optimize the material and supplier portfolio
• ·         Procurement of processing units and systems on a project basis
• ·         Careful consideration of contracts with regards to cost targets
• ·         Both support and initiate projects for cost reduction
• ·         Implement and execute defined cost roadmaps for key suppliers

Education:-

• ·         Engineering or economics background and qualification in sourcing

Core Requirements:-

• At least 3 years experience with a proven track record in global sourcing within the Solar Industry
• Experience of negotiating contracts with international companies

• ·         Excellent organisational skills
• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
• ·         Fluency in German
• ·         Advanced knowledge of SAP-R3/MM
• ·         Strong team communication and analytical skills

• Ability to travel

• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results

Key Skills:-

Procurement or sourcing or purchasing, engineering, solar, German, experience with solar modules, experience with solar systems, mechanical and electrical parts
