My client is one of the leading renewable energy providers in Italy, currently going through rapid expansion with ambitious plans throughout Europe and the MENA area (Middle East & North Africa). They specialize in the installation, operation and management of photovoltaic plants, working as an integrator between the surface owners, suppliers and banks. They are looking to recruit an international business Development Manager to join their team in Milan and help spearhead their growth throughout Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
Position Overview: The International Business Development Manager will be responsible for Solar to help better the development of their projects throughout Eastern Europe and the MENA area, to be based in Milan, Italy. The candidate will need to have the ability to sell at the highest level and a detailed understanding of target markets and product lines within the industry.
Responsibilities:-
- · Negotiate with local developers to reach commercial agreement
- · Negotiate with contractors and suppliers for construction of site
- · Responding efficiently to customer issues and queries
- · Meet and screen developers and contractors to filter out quality projects
- · Working with sales managers on strategies to achieve agreement of contracts with new clients and stimulate revenue growth
- · Analysing the clients needs and developing proposals to fit their criteria
- · Execute and monitor contract progress with local developer
- · Focusing on customer service and maintaining relationships and expansion
- · Development and execution of presentations and de-briefing
- · Interface with internal operation team on planning, contract review, financial, tax issues
- · Manage due diligence process
Education:-
- · Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar
Core Requirements:-
- · Has 3+ years project/development experience in PV
- · Good understanding of regulatory requirements in the solar industry
- · Familiar with European project investment structure and risk control
- · Excellent commercial experience
- · Commercial contract negotiation delivery experience
- · Must have a strong understanding of technical matters, the ability to think in economic perspective and experience of project development
General Requirements:-
- · Proficient with making impactful presentations
- · Good oral and written communications skills
- · Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
- Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies
- Ability to travel frequently
Key Skills:-
Solar PV, degree in business administration, marketing or similar, business development experience in the renewable energy industry, excellent commercial skills
