The intern will work as an integral part of the Field Programs Management team, providing tools, processes and general support to CI’s field programs globally to ensure effective performance. Activities will focus on providing information and support to field programs globally to ensure effective performance. Activities will focus on providing information and support to field programs with regards to their healthy, sustainable economic strategies. Specifically, the intern will be expected to build on the findings and work of an initial desktop study undertaken through a previous Trott Internship with investigated Foreign development investments and wealth accounting in CI countries. The intern will also have the opportunity to work with other interns working on similar endeavors, especially interns doing information gathering and synthesis about China’s investments in resources extraction in Africa and about Brazilian agent (banks, government, corporations) having impact in other CI countries. The intern will also work with the country program to get further information where information is lacking or we cannot have access remotely.
RESONSIBILITIES:
The intern will:
Provide a comprehensive analysis about the national wealth, public budget expenditures, foreign direct investment, and official development assistance in countries where CI has field programs.
Provide an assessment of the sources of data used for the analysis to better understand and interpret the results generated.
Submit a comprehensive report structured by CI country of intervention that presents all data gathered, sources, methodology of analyses and results of analyses.
Submit a PowerPoint presentation of the report to be presented in one of CI’s communication mechanisms.

QUALIFICAITONS:
Required:
Must be working towards an undergraduate degree in natural resources management, environmental management, conservation or a related field.
Must have an understanding of international conservation and development work
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to address multiple priorities simultaneously
