The Conservation Leadership Programme (CLP) is looking for an intern who will report to the CLP Executive Manager in the Science & Knowledge division of CI and support the activities of the CLP.

The intern will be responsible for providing support the Executive Manager with administrative tasks, responding to general inquiries and directing messages to the most appropriate team member, and editing content on the CLP website.

The intern will be exposed to the workings of a large, international NGO, as well as the day to day operations of the CLP, a partnership between CI and three other conservation NGOs with the aim to build the capacity of emerging conservation practitioners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Executive Manager with administrative and other responsibilities
  • Respond to general program inquiries
  • Edit and revise CLP website content

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment. This is a volunteer internship position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school degree plus at least two years of undergraduate curriculum toward a bachelor’s degree.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Outlook and Internet browsing.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • A general interest in environmental conservation and/or training & capacity building issues
  • It is desirable for the applicant to have some experience with web content creation and/or editing and a generally high level of comfort learning new technology applications.
  • A general interest in fundraising is also desirable.
