RESPONSIBILITIES:
This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn alongside CI’s dynamic visual resources team. The intern will work with the web team and the South Africa Programme to develop and manage a process to create a website for the South Africa Programme as part of their readiness for the Conference of Parties to be held in Durban in December 2011.
The intern will design and implement the Conservation South Africa Website linked to the CI site to be completed 15 November 2011.
The intern will work with the Web Coordinator to design and finalize the site map for the site by 20 September 2011. The intern will co-ordinate the gathering of content by the 15 October and will upload all content and visuals by 30 October. The intern will also coordinate a process for review for completion by 15thNovember 2011.
The intern will be based in Washington DC and will work with a team from South Africa, The Senior Manager for Communications & Operations and the Communications Co-ordinator as well as with the web team in Washington DC. The intern will be provided an office space in CI’s Arlington Office and a laptop has been sourced for his/her use during this internship.
Working Conditions:
This position is based in Conservation International’s Headquarters in Arlington, VA and will work with a team from South Africa, the Senior Manager for Communications and Operations and the Communications Coordinator as well as with the web team in CI-HQ.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree.
Familiarity with basic html and website management.
