Innovation Delivery Engineer

Ref: EONUK02078

You'll drive the trial and demonstration of new and innovative sustainable energy technology, leading their development and eventual market release. You'll also be working closely with our Innovation and Retail divisions to determine what business strategies will best spark new technology and commercial proposition areas.

We constantly perform trials and demonstration projects, and it will be your responsibility to coordinate and manage a number of these, including their design, installation and commissioning. We'll expect you to be deeply involved in supply chain development and in key contracts with suppliers and service companies. Once technology is out of demonstration mode, you'll then be expected to supervise the handover to steady state within Energy Services.

As each project that you'll be involved in may require a uniquely tailored solution, you'll be expected to contribute meaningfully to the solution development through your own technical expertise.

You'll source and qualify new suppliers (both external and in-house), including the role of other UK developments of the delivery model, and you will design, price and develop both installation and association service and support capability.

There will be a variety of financial and budgetary duties attached to this role both on individual projects, and as you supply manage with costs on an ongoing basis.

You'll support work with product development and sales teams, to identify future products that can be delivered effectively and at the right price, and you'll be the responsible manager for SHE and Contract Management on individual projects.

You should have innovative and horizon thinking ability, to be able to look beyond existing technical and commercial solutions, and to propose new ones.

You'll have Installation, Operations & Management experience - ideally with Microgen or DH&CHP markets, excellent technical ability, and extensive SHE knowledge and experience. You should be customer-orientated, and possess good communication skills.

Your energy shapes the future.

E.ON is committed to equal opportunities.
