Hydropower Electrical Design Engineer, UK

My client is a consultancy company that works throughout the world in the renewable energy sector. They are focused on the management, development and engineering side of the renewable energy projects.

They are currently looking  for a candidate with industry experience that can work as a hydropower electrical design engineer the ideal candidate will not only be an experienced electrical engineer but have experience and an interest in the design of hydropower parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• ·         Design and development of hydroelectric projects
• ·         Required to perform feasibility and pre-feasibility studies for the renewable energy project
• ·         Provide input into the design and implementation process of the hydroelectric project
• ·         Perform due diligence advice and services when required as part of a particular project audits and present results to relevant managers
• ·         Have involvement in the commissioning and liaising with developers and clients
• ·         Manage hydropower project teams and understand the legal requirements and regulations of the environmental projects

Key Skills

• ·         Experience working as a consultant on renewable energy projects
• ·         Strong experience working as a electrical engineer and development of relevant projects
• ·         A minimum BSc in electric engineering or equivalent degree
• ·         Experience working as a consultant on environmental and / or renewable energy projects
• ·         Excellent communication and report writing skills

Desirable Attributes

• ·         Ability to travel within the Europe
• ·         Knowledge of electricity transmission and all of the related regulatory issues that may arise
• ·         A strong desire to work to the highest quality and standards in order to maintain the reputation of the company
• ·         Highly organised with a proven ability to project manage where necessary
• ·         Ideally the candidate would be a member of relative professional institutions
