Description

My client is a leading renewable energy constancy company that works throughout Europe on renewable energy projects with exciting new projects in  wind, hydro biomass and geothermal. They requires key design engineering positions filled for a hydro power project that is due to start in the new year.

Key Requirements.

  • ·         Travelling across Europe to renewable energy sites in order to perform required tasks.
  • ·         Working as an environmental consultant for a major renewable energy company with a focus on the design.
  • ·         Performing pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for potential Hydropower projects and then seeing them through to fruition.
  • ·         Working to design specification in order to achieve the goals of the client within budget and time limits
  • ·         Perform implementation and commissioning of projects in the renewable energy field in an attempt to get the most from the project
  • ·         Liaising with clients in order to determine their needs and achieving these standards

Key Skills

  • ·         A BSc (Hons) minimum in electrical, mechanical or environmental engineering
  • ·         Experience working in a consultancy role within the expanding engineering and environmental sector
  • ·         A passion for design with an interest in hydro turbine design
  • ·         Excellent report writing an presentation skills
  • ·         Desire to manage a team of site workers and focus them on a project outcome

Desirable attribute

  • ·         Knowledge of electricity and mechanical transmission
  • ·         A strong desire to work to the highest quality and standards in order to maintain the reputation of the company
  • ·         Excellent organisational skills
  • ·         Ideally the candidate would be a member of relative professional institutions or societies.

This opportunity offers long term career progression and the chance to develop and expand key skills within a consultancy based role. There is a potential to move into management roles and a possibility of an overseas posting for an appropriate candidate.
